Reverse Weave (R) Half Zip Hooded Sweatshirt 25FW TRUE TO ARCHIVES Champion (C3-A119)
From the late 1960s, due to American fire regulations, 100% cotton brushed-back materials were deemed dangerous, leading to the inclusion of polyester, acrylic, and rayon. This product is a half-zip hooded sweatshirt from a series that revives the acrylic-blend "REVERSE WEAVE®" used in the late 1970s. It faithfully reproduces the blend ratio of the time: 90% cotton and 10% acrylic. It features a unique volume and texture knitted on an old-fashioned sinker knitting machine. The "USAFA" print on the chest is based on the United States Air Force Academy, and it adopts the design of products that the Champion® brand supplied to the academy in the 1970s. The zipper is made by the American company TALON, which invented the zipper in the world in 1893. The slider is a cam-lock type that you press and hold to stop, before the advent of mechanical locks, and it uses valuable stock from the 1960s and later, rather than a reproduction. The name tag is the "blue single tag" (blue single-color tag) from the 1970s model. The absence of the C logo patch on the left sleeve is also as per the specifications of the time. The United States Air Force Academy is a four-year school that cultivates the necessary abilities, leadership, and knowledge for officer candidates to serve as regular officers. Graduates earn a Bachelor of Science degree and are commissioned as second lieutenants in the Air Force or Space Force.
